A FOID card is not needed to take the class.

Please bring your ID (state-issued) on the day of class. You can bring a lunch if you prefer.

The Illinois Concealed Carry class is 16hr which is a requirement by the Illinois State Police. This is broken into 2 days. (Saturday & Sunday) (Thursday & Friday).

Veterans will need to provide a copy of their DD-214 or NGB 22. You will be required to do one day which is ONLY on Sunday’s(upon availability).

You will select a Saturday of the weekend you would like to attend when signing up and only come on Sunday.

We are located on the west side of Chicago.

There is a parking lot attached to the building and it is available for use.

Fingerprints are not mandatory but if completed your application will be expedited.

After successfully completing the class, you will receive a certificate that will be used when you apply for the Concealed Carry License. The license fee is $153.38 (you pay to the state police) F.O.I.D. cost is $11. You will apply at https://www.ispfsb.com/Public/Login.aspx

No, the class includes range equipment.

Unfortunately you will have to pay for another date available through the website. If you cannot make it you can transfer your seat to someone you may know.

You will need to provide your own transportation for range. Range can only be completed during class to be considered completed.

If you do not have your certificate whether it was sent via email to be signed and downloaded or given to you directly and it’s has been over a year you will have to retake the class. If it has not been over a year from the date you have taken the class the fee is $50 to receive a copy.
